Recieved new USB iPhone charger

I just received the new version of the USB charger. Doesn't seem that much different than the old one.

They do say if you don't return the old one, they may charge you for it. Of course, I didn't give them my CC for this exchange. I just wish I knew it was coming, I could have swapped it and given the old one to the DHL guy right away.

Got mine today also. I was thinking the same thing about the DHL guy. I'm working from home and he put it down and ran away otherwise I would be able to save him a trip.

The only difference I notice is that the prongs taper at the end instead of being boxed off.

Anyway packed up the old one called DHL and left it on the stoop.

We got ours today too, Reno, NV; we also ordered both the day of or day after the recall announcement.

Way to go Apple, deliver it in a waste of space. For a second I thought Apple sent me air.

Yeah, I thought the box size was too big too, but consider these points:

-The box has to be big enough for the return label
-The box is not custom made for the adapter, it's a generic size for various service part shipments and returns.
-In addition to begin used twice (once to you and once back to Apple) It will probably be reused multiple times.

I used to work for an apple dealer back in the early 90's and they used this same sized box for many small service parts. Kind of amazed the same dimension is still being used this much later.

Yep, just a big old box with foam and a piece of paper that includes instruction, which I am going to disregard =).

I just received mine today too (Palm Desert, CA). Only difference I see is the little green dot, and the prongs seem more tapered at the ends.
