Engadget posts the invite for the Apple media event which will take place on October 14th in San Francisco. The invite simply reads:
The spotlight turns to notebooks.
Apple has been rumored to be delivering new MacBooks and new MacBook Pros this month. A number of leaked photos have been circulating.

Maybe this will shut the whiners up...
Its about bloody time.

First pos.... argh dammit!

The logo is lit from an outside light source there, wonder if that has any significance ;)
For those who missed the subtle British brand of humour, this was called 'sarcasm'

(I very much doubt it, but we might as well cover the possibilities!)
For those who missed it, this was me pointing out the sarcasm!

Glad to hear it. Was starting to wonder!

The picture to me looks like a MBP. I guess there won't be any tapering/curviness like the air.

ok... deep breath everyone.

(It looks like they phoned in the design and copy for that invite, lol. They must be real busy right now).

I hope these aren't so beautiful that I feel compelled to sell my 2.2Ghz MacBook. Nah, I still love it. I'll probably just wait until revision 2. Can't wait to see what's coming!

I have had my iPhone for two weeks and since that time have gotten the Apple bug. Appears I got it at the right time. Good news to see!

Guess I shall post my question here too..

Have a ? the only time I can recall them having an event was for the Air other then that they just released the mbs

Do you guys think something else is up?

lmao, as if they could have made it more clear....

QUESTION:

I need a new notebook, should I buy now or wait :p (that was a joke).
