T Tigercat212 macrumors regular Original poster Oct 9, 2008 #1 I installed Folding@Home for Mac but now it's malfunctioning so I'm trying to uninstall. I drag the application to the Trash and click empty but it says it is in use. So, I go to Activity Monitor but it's not there. How do I quit the program!

From their instructions you also need to remove the following files: 1. /Applications/Folding@home.app/ 2. /Library/LaunchDaemons/Folding@home.plist 3. /Library/PreferencePanes/Folding@home.prefPane/ 4. ~/Library/Folding@home/ Eventually boot in safe mode holding down the shift key at startup and delete the files.
