Well no probably. I plan on recording it with the Tivo and then fast forwarding to the commercials. It will be an interesting change from fast forwarding past the commercials.

I'm planing to video it as it's on in the early morning in the UK (on Five). We'll get less adverts though

The last one I watched was Superbowl XX!

I wont be watching it since it will be Monday the 2nd of Feb here ( we are a day ahead of you guys - and I will be studying). NFL is pretty much a non avent in NZ anyway although a few of the Bars in town will show it on Sky Digital.
I will catch up with the ads later. I will be more interested in see the comments on the mac forums with regards to the sales of Pepsi and the numbers of downloads for iTMS!

Nothing bores me to tears quite like football, or sports in general for that matter. How anyone can sit and watch football is beyond me.

No thank you.

That's funny, my brother, the football player, says the same thing about people who sit in front of a computer on discussion forums. Then again, what does he know, he's just some dumb jock. Right? blah blah blah

I'll watch it while the score is pretty close. I could care less about the commercials though.

I usually don't watch sporting events like this, but I may watch it since the Patriots are in.

I will watch, but only to put myself in the right frame of mind for the real football season to open the following Sunday:

Arena Football.

Prediction: Chicago Rush, 162; Grand Rapids Rampage, 6.

Da Rush

Since I dont really care for either team, it's just an excuse for the guys to come over, drink some beer, and watch the new commercials.

Maybe play some Xbox too,

Here in Charlotte, people have gone Super-bowl crazy. There are people naming their babies after Panthers, people spending $20,000 plus to go to the game, painting their bodies, cars, and houses Panthers colors, and of course everyone is wearing Panthers hats, coats, jerseys, underwear, you name it. Yeah, I have to admit I'm pretty psyched, too, and I'll definitely watch the game (commercials and all), but I think I'll wait until they actually win the Super Bowl to buy a T-shirt.

Ever since the Packers got knocked-out of the playoffs, I have become totally disinterested in football. I'm more of a Packers fan then a general "football" fan. So, to avoid me wasting my time, I MIGHT watch some.... but I dont' really care now...

I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned it, but Apple posted summaries of the ads on their website.

Anyways, I will be watching the Super Bowl, and not just for the ads, although I will be paying attention to them. GO PATS!!!

American Football is boring.

Whats the point, its stop - start - stop -start. The excessive body armour and helments make the players look like a load of fairies.

Bring on Rugby any day! (Which I presume American football was based on, and significantly watered down).

I don't think it's really all about the football for most guys, it's the fact you can sit with your friends and watch it. I don't know any guys (or girls), of any age, that sit and watch football alone. It's a social thing for me, and it's traditional. My friend Nate and I always watch the SuperBowl together, we have for about 7-8 years. We talk the whole time; we add our own commentary and we laugh at the commercials, the cheerleaders, and the goofy looking fans in full body paint.

Needless to say, I'll be watching!!!!!

Clearly I'm in the minority on this site, but I find football fascinating. It's definitely not as exciting or action packed as soccer (I don't know about rugby), but what's interesting about football is all the planning that goes into each play. It's incredibly sophisticated, and the coordination between players needs to be perfect in order for a play to work.

For a game that appears to be played by a bunch of thugs, it's probably the most complicated, intellectual game out there.

Not much into football (the White Sox folded their team years ago in favor of the much superior baseball), but I will enjoy the commercials.
