McDonald's, Carl's Jr, Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Arby's, etc.

Whenever I go to those places to eat, I don't feel what you people are feeling about arteries hardening, etc.

I feel replenished and satiated.

Of course, the times I go to those places are usually after an all-day 15mile hike up and down the mountain.

i've still got to see that movie Super Size Me. sounds interesting, but common sense should say that everyone has to do some sort of exercise to stay fit and healthy.

You know, if you eat Macca's 3 times a day for a month, HELLO, of course it's gonna be bad for you. If you eat it occasionally like normal people it's harmless. If you ate fruit and veg all day everyday for a month that would screw you up too.

Why have a go at Macca's ? What are they the MicroSoft of fast food or something ? Burger King, Wendy's, KFC, Pizza Hut, chocolate, chips, worstershire sauce, dim sims, red meat.... Everything on the planet is bad for you taken in large portions. A little bit of everything not too much of anything. All this guy's done is shown that yeah, if you eat Macca's for a month you'll get sick. Gee whizz I never thought that would be possible.

This guys a dumbass

Maybe when he recovers he can do a film on the effects 50 bongs a day would have on your brain over a month. Now that would be worth a look.

Have you seen his movie? He notes in there that there are MANY people who do what he did, and have been doing it for much longer than a month! I think this guy is smart to get the word out about fast food.

Yes, moderation of anything is good, but there are too many people that are [insert reasons why people are busy, lazy, etc.] so they will just go to their local fast food joint and order something.

Morgan inspired me to do it too...

What would happen if you did this diet for a year?

To make a long story short, I lived off McD's for 90 straight days, eating french fries with every meal, and picking the worst nutritional selections available. Never, at anytime, did I starve myself.

So what happened to me?

I lost 13 pounds. My cholesterol fell 40 points, and doctors say I have never been in such great health. What did I do differently from Morgan? It wasn't exercise!

I am just quoting you lethal cause you resume an often expressed point of vue. Yes Spurlock ate like a pig and no normal man eats exclucively at Mc Donalds. But the food is crap. It's crap with ketchup so you don't taste it.

Have you ever tasted the meat that is inside those burgers. Without the stuff around it it tastes like paper. Go to your butchers and ask for a fresh burger put that in a frying pan and tatse it. Don't put any barbecue sauce or anything on it. Ahha. It actually has a taste. Now the bad thing about Mc D. is the combination of their menus. You get one burger consisting of very sweet bread, meat, greasy cheese, and some hihgly conditioned meat (conservation), with that you get some fries (pur fat) with lots of salt. salt makes you thirsty and then you drink wat… ah no you drink a liter of coke to wash it all down (sugar). And one liter of it!!!

You do know that Coke was invented as a medicine. It was supposed to be taken in on a Spoon! I really like Coke but have you ever tried not to drink any for lelt's say a week? After a week its tastes horribe, fake too sweet….

The mixture of sugar fat and salt is not good. The sugar holds on to the fat, making you body scream for help.

COMMON PEOPLE. It's not abbout exercise. If you exercise you might burn some fat and not grow fat. Still the FOOD YOU ATE IS NOT HEALTHY IN ANY WAY. You can eat a fresh burger with a fresh salad (no readymade dressing) olive oil dressing, and a glass of water. The fat itself in the burger is not unhealthy if you don't mix it with sugar or salt.

This movie is not only about Mac Donalds it's about Pizza Hut (have you ever compared an italian pizza to panfat thing from Pizza Hut, WHAT THE F…??) also about subway, it's not the leaf of salad thet makes it healthy, about Fast Food in general. FAST FOOD IS A DISEASE.

Eat healthy. Live long.

End of RANT.

The only thing that movie proves is that if you eat like an idiot you'll gain weight. Well DUH. Frankly I think its unfair to he McDonalds corporation. Its like those tests they did that showed that artificial sweetners caused cancer. Yeah when you feed the rats grotesque amounts that are equivalent to eating a 1 lb bag of the stuff each day maybe. Could McDonald's offer some healthier options? Sure, but whats wrong with providing food that people enjoy eating that isn't quite as healthy? NOTHING. Its like a casino. Yes if you go every day you could have big problems in your life, but thats not the casinos fault. Plenty of people go to casinos occasionally for entertainment, just like plenty of people eat at McDonald's occasionally. The reason America is fat is because people make dumb choices as individuals.

I followed your link, and nowhere on your site can I find where you draw any conclusions. Present results, link to charts and lab tests, etc. but no conclusions.

So let me just clarify here:

You didn't exercise at all? Because your 9-day picture doesn't look to me like someone who doesn't exercise, especially when compared to the March 1999 photo.

Your conclusion is basically that it's not the burgers or the fries or the desserts or the condiments, but the soda, right?

Personally, I don't eat at McDonalds because the food doesn't taste all that good, and has gastrointestinal consequences, but hey, whatever works for you.

Edit: I take it back....you did exercise. Between what I think refers to weight training ("muscles"?), a bit of running, and your basic exercises, you're getting far more than most of the American public. So basically, you eliminated a prime source of calories and kept up a moderate amount of exercise...well, of course you didn't deteriorate.

Remember Don Gorske (6-foot and 170 pounds) has eaten 20,000 Big Macs since 1972.

If Morgan Spurlock was right about how bad McDonald's food was for you, then this guy would be the fatest human on the planet -- or dead.

Do you guys not get it????

you could get fat ANYWHERE if you ate at a restaurant every day. On a local radio station here in seattle, an author called in saying she is writing a book where she went to McDonald's for 30 days and lost 14 pounds and over the course of the days, had everything on the menu. It all depends on your diet!! If I ate 3 supersized meals a day, then duh! But if I have a salad, get a grilled chicken without mayo and actually "think" about my health, I won't get fat. I work at McDonald's full time and eat there a lot, but I don't get fat. I choose what I eat, that dumb guy never thought twice probably, just ate double quarter pounders every day. I could get fat eating at Denny's everyday. McDonald's doesn't force you to eat anything. Gee wiz.

Yes, you could choose to eat lots of salads and grilled items...but the that gets expensive. I went cheap and ate the stuff people eat when they go there. I never had a salad, yogurt, or grilled item. I stuck to fries with every meal. During the first 30 days, I never drank water. I went "worst-case scenario" and came out healthier.

of course it is not healthy but i'm only eating 4-6 times there a year (too expensive)
i like the taste of some burgers and it's not that bad...

i don't understand the witch hunt going on against mcdonalds etc. it's everybodys own decision what you eat and want not... you can't blame a company for what you eat

and for pizza hut : the 1.50 € cheapo pizzas from the food discounters taste million times better than that...i ate 2 different pizzas there on different occasions and both are holding the 'worst pizza ever' award...bad,really bad
