iPod touch What's the cloth in the Touch box?

I just bought an ipod touch and in the plastic box that it came in is a rolled up black soft cloth, the size of the touch, with the Apple logo on it. It's not a pouch so you can't put the touch in it. What is this cloth supposed to be used for? Just cleaning the glass face of the touch?

If you rub the iPod enough with it, a genie will come out and grant 3 wishes...
You have to rub it the right way though... 😉

If you had read the book that was also in the box, you would have known that it is the cleaning cloth.
