People are always complaining that the Air doesn't have an optical drive. I'm just curious who still actually CDs...

i dont cd and dvd anymore.
eventhough i have a pc and macmini with dvd drives. never used them anymore.
everything is in the wireless. even printing now is wireless using airport express.
and i do believe every notebooks should come with external drive because it's making the notebook less in weight, and you dont need the drive all the time.

im being 100% honest when i say, i have not touched, played, or burned a cd/dvd in over 2 years.
i use ipod for car, dl movies(legitly through itunes😛) and usb flash sticks for files.

I think it is going away, thankfully.
The Air is just leading the way, kind of like the Apple Cube did as the desktop with no expansion slots, just firewire. Too bad they released the Cube a few year too early for people to get it.😎
I'm glad to have the option to not lug around a drive I never use.
