New Macbook is ugly...

i dont like the inside. They just made this new one to make money and not worth it. White is what symbolizes a Mac. REALLY, what were the major changes to the new Macbook??? The trackpad, a black keyboard, aluminum casing, and the NVDIA graphics for gamers??? And don't forget the downgrade to NO FIREWIRE. In what way does the NVDIA graphics help us non gamers?? PC is still gonna have a wider variety of games for an audience for gamers...

Now there are rumors of upgrades coming soon to the new Macbook. Doesn't anyone notice that Macbook purposely doesnt add stuff to their new Macbook so they can upgrade them later???? Im happy with the one i bought a few months ago...

one macbook i do wanna get is the black version of this one i got a couple months ago...

Not quite. Forum is for discussion. Blogs are where you post your opinion or an article.

He is entitled to his opinion like everyone else. If you don't like his opinion move on to a different thread. I think the new ones are pretty nice. I hate the fact it has no FW and I don't like the black keyboard (I saw it in person and I still think it looks horrible), but it is nice overall.

OP get ready to be trashed by those who just bought it. Most of those think it is so, so, perfect. I guess anytime someone buys something you defend it like it is so great. Most people probably do that.

CoreImage applications like Pixelmator will be much faster.

The new MacBook most certainly is not ugly. If I hadn't bought an MBP just a few months ago I'd buy one of the top end ones, FireWire or not.

It is a fact that anyone who buys the reg Macbook primarily for games is an idiot. Integrated graphics suck for intensive games. The Pro is where you need to go or better yet buy a PC laptop/desktop, or a gaming system.

I agree Apple has a habit of holding back features for future upgrades with their products.

As a fan of all-aluminum, I wasn't thrilled with the new MacBooks at first with the black screen border and keys, compared to seeing the original aluminum portables, but after seeing them in person, they are starting to grow on me.

Especially the MB, which looks very sleek compared to the MBP. I really liked the multi-finger gestures on the new trackpad, which is surprisingly very similar to using the old trackpads. I also appreciate the sturdy construction.

Definitely, not a thrilling change compared to the original aluminums, but definitely not ugly either.

Ahh, opinions, opinions. Yes the OP is entitled to his opinion, it may not look good in his eyes however I actually like the new look, it matches my ALU iMac. My new Macbook is being delivered today from Fedex, can't wait.

One note to the OP, I wouldn't use the word "Ugly". It still trumps anything in the Windows world on looks alone but it just may not be appealing to you.

Ugly? Have you seen HP/Compaq's glossy palm rests and all those colorful lights on PC notebooks, that's a real mess.

What might be ugly to one person might not be ugly to another.

I really love the new design. The black bezel will REALLY make the screen pop out and look absolutely gorgeous. The aluminum unibody makes it a very solid feeling system, and the black keys are great because they complement the bezel and do not discolor like white ones do.

Is it really human nature, just to whine and argue all the time?

I think the black bezel makes the MacBook look smaller. Remember, black has a slimming-thinning effect.

Coming soon eh? You mean soon as in 3 days ago? Otherwise, please share your source for these "rumors"...and talking dogs/acid trips/dreams do not count.

Whatever you say, Sybil. It's best not to contradict yourself within one post if you want a shot at being taken even remotely seriously.

Shouldn't cost you more than $10.00

$5.00 for a can of white spray paint at Home Depot.
$5.00 for some cheese to go with your wine!

P.S. -- I'm just joking around, no hostility intended!

i probably dont like the interior because it reminds me of a PC! I like the white, because it's unique. I get so mad when I use a PC because its sooooo slow and horrible. I always have to have a mac! But I do agree that Bill Gates realizes that everyone wants a Mac so he tried to make the new interface for the PC look like a Mac. Did anyone see that video of an interview with Bill Gates. The interviewer says, "I see that you are trying to go for the Mac OS 10 look in the new version of the Vista...." And Bill Gates responds with a stutter, "I was actually just trying to make a new look"
