Album art, play count, etc.
just now I removed my entire itunes library out of the itunes app.
then i imported the music folder back into it ( I added some new songs).
however, i realised all my album art, play count, etc was gone.
the album art was added from the Itunes store account.
I am able to recover the album art but not the play count section?
any solutions to remedy this? I don't want to face that in the future again

All you need to do is copy the whole Music/iTunes folder with everything in it.
If you find an external hard drive that you like, you can just connect it to your computer, find your iTunes library (On Windows, it’s the “My Music” folder. On a Mac, it’s just called “Music.”), and copy it to the hard drive to make a backup.

album art sticks to the actual audio files now. playlists, playcounts, gapless playback etc. is stored in the iTunes folder. all your music in then stored in the iTunes Music folder in that (by default).
If you can't innovate, you just imitate, but it's never quite as good as the original.
