Hi i have a g3 800mhz ibooks with and my poweroutlet adaptor broke. I know this because my friend also has a powerbook and his adaptor works on fine on my ibook while mine does nit light up or charge the system. So, short of going to apple and paying 80 dollars for a new one. are there any locations (i.e. ebay..i checked already) where i can find one for cheaper?

Are you still under your one year warranty? If you are, the power adaptor is covered. Just take it into an Apple Store.

If you're past the warranty, you could be a little shady. If your friend's PowerBook is still under warranty, ask him to take the power adaptor into the Apple Store. As you know, the iBook and PowerBook use the same adaptor.
