about the apple iSight

can you only talk with other people that has iChat AV with this camera? or can you you get video/audio with people on a normal crappy pc?
 
As of right now, I am pretty sure it only works with iChat users, but I think AAOL is working on video chat and people are saying that it has the capability (iChat that is) so we may see it in the near future.
 
its compatible with Yahoo,AOL & MSN

Hi,
my friend have an iSight and he use it with Yahoo,AOL and MSN. It's used like the iBot but much better results ;-)

how do you figure?


you can also use the isight to capture video/audio clips... not that you'd necessarily want to... it's not exactly super quality. i've seen some light issues with it myself... ie, it's very dark even when in a well lit room.

I believe she was pointing out that Macs are PCs too. You know, Personal Computer....
 
Anyone else very disappointed in the amount of light the iSight needs? I have an old-ass 3com webcam that could take great images in near darkness, but I have to have nearly all my lights on to be seen with the iSight.
