Here's my problem. I have iTunes open and unresponsive. It shows it is open on the dock, and in Force Quit. It will not show up on the explorer bar or Activity Monitor, and Terminal is ineffective:

XXXXXXXXXXX-mac-mini:~ XXXXXXX$ killall -9 iTunes
No matching processes belonging to you were found

XXXXXXXXXXX-mac-mini:~ XXXXXXX$ killall iTunes
No matching processes belonging to you were found

I really need help, I have no idea what to do, and pulling the plug instantly does not help, it just starts up extremely slow. Can somebody give some info? I'm running iTunes 10.1 on a Mac Mini.

iTunes 10.1? The latest update is 8.0.1.

But anyways, try to open it it through the Finder. It will probably give you error -600. There isn't much you can do but reboot.
