Leopard Retail Disc in New MBP - Constant Reboot Loop?
Has any one tried their Retail Leopard disc in a new MB/MBP?
Just reloading my new one and it seems that it does not work. Machine sees the disc, clicked to reboot and then I hear the bong noise and it enters a constant reboot loop (it is trying to load off the CD).
Just wondering if this is an issue with the disc or the mac? I suspect disc.

Duff-Man says....I'd suspect the Mac - unless/until the retail disc is updated to accommodate the new models it ain't gonna work properly....oh yeah!
Duff-Man computes with...Mac Pro 3.2GHz 8 core 18GB RAM + MacBook Pro 2.5GHz C2D + 16GB iPod Nano + iPhone 4S 32GB...Oh Yeah!

Won't work, needs a retail disc newer than the machine.
Best to use the Restore DVD.
This is because the new Nvidia Laptop chipset and GPU have no drivers on the older DVDs.
