Is a Mac Mini worth $300?

Quote:
Processor Speed: 1.33 GHz
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4, Tiger
Memory (RAM): 512 MB
Primary Drive: CD-RW/DVD Combo
Hard Drive Capacity: 40 GB

I'm looking at this one on Craigslist and wondering if it is worth $300.

for starters, there's no such thing as a 1.33MHz mac mini. it's either 1.25, 1.42, or POSSIBLY 1.5GHz G4 so have that seller check his about this mac.
i'd say that that's worth $200 tops. However, sellers are not willing to sell them that low bc that think omg, i am selling a mac, this must be a little less than current models.

someone will pay $300 for that machine... just don't let it be you!

Yes, there was! The low end late 2005 Mac Mini was 1.33 GHz. Anyway, $300 is over double the actual worth of the machine. I would pay absolutely not a penny more than $200 for this.

yea iToaster! (i checked and i wa totally wrong!) i say we start a coalition to drive down Mac mini's and PowerBook 12"'ers to their REAL values and not their crazily inflated values!

to the OP, let us know how it goes. people tend to get cranky when you tell them their computers are worth less than what they think they are.

For reference, I picked up a core solo a few months back for $225. I wouldn't pay $300 unless Classic is of high value to you.

Thank you fella's. I have a new Aluminum iMac with 4gb ram so I am more than covered, I just wanted something for the garage to surf and do things while out there. The machine is right, but the price doesn't seem to be.

Appreciate your responses.
