As an enthusiast (not a computer professional), the show is not worth the trip.
I went two years in a row - first for the iPhone launch, then last year too.
(because I was already there on business last year)
Some cool stuff if you want to find a new toy (last year I bought Eye-TV at the show) - other than that you can walk the show in 2 hours and be done. If I lived there, I would continue to go just for the fun and "shopping". Traveling to SF for this show, not anymore. It's a "been-there-done-that" type of feeling.
Again, if I were a computer professional (using the MAC platform of course), I'm sure this is a must attend. The networking, seeing what others are innovating, maybe the classes, etc...
