Can someone give me the link(s) to the way people have changed the heat sink in the MB Air? I have read the threads but cannot seem to locate them now that I have my Air to deal with!

You may not have to change the heat sink physically. Months ago I redid my heatsink compound and it seems to have worked pretty good. You can also bend down the heatsink pressure tabs on the little L bar to help with heat transfer. Here's pictures of how it looks from factory on Gen. 2 vs. Gen. 1. You can see that Apple thought better about manufacturing techniques in round two:
