Quicken 2004 for Macintosh Release 2 (R2) is now available

This Quicken 2004 R2 update is good news. I own Quicken 2004, but haven't installed it yet. I usually wait till after I have the prior year tax items adjusted and printed out before upgrading. Don't want to loose any data at such a critical time.

The updates listed sound like that will save me a lot of trouble. I also use Bill Pay via my bank. 🙂

I'm surprised that anyone here is willing to buy it. After all, their Mac philosophy is charge more, include less.

Yes, bousozoku I really enjoy Quicken. Anyone that I have mentioned the program to really likes Quicken.

I first learned about Quicken at MacWorld Boston in either 1987 or 1988. At the time I was using Home Accountant, which I stared with in 1983 with my Apple IIE. It was very difficult to locate accounts.

Intuit happened to have a booth at MacWorld. It looks much like it does today. I was impressed by the Check Book looking much like like the register I used at home. I think I started with Version 3. I have been disappointed that Intuit hasn't been to a MacWorld since, at least to my knowledge.
 
Well if Quicken is "bad", then what do you recommend? Not sure what else is out there, but have been using quicken for years with my PC.

Anyone using Quicken 2004? I have 2003, which seems better than 2001, but not particularly cleaned up. Slow and, I've now discovered, buggy on some arcane stuff (stock splits). Part of me wants to upgrade. Part of me thinks Intuit doesn't deserve more money for a program they still don't have completely right for the Mac.

Thoughts?
 
I heard from another news site (MacNN?) that this update causes some function (not important to most users, though) to not work properly, and Quicken has advised users that need this function not to update. Sorry about the vagueness, but I don't use Quicken, so I just wanted to warn those that do that this update might not be perfect 🙂

I wonder just what the function is that may not work properly?
