final cut quits before it opens?!?!?!?!

hi everyone....
i installed final cut 4 pro today and when i click the icon it starts to check like every other program and after, it quits and asks me if i wannt to report a bug to apple.....does anyone had the same problem or am i the only black sheep ...if you know the problem plz help me i hate when such thing happens.... sorry for my english .....

apply all the recent patches

then i think you need to repair permissions

go to
applications
utilities
disk utilities

select repair permissions

what do you mean by apllying the patches...do you mean copy all the stuff from the cd .....

i mean the most updated final cut pro 4 versions

but after every major install always repaire permissions

many many thanx ....i update it and it opened...but now the soundtrack wants new serial heheh ...
