Apple Tv and non-paired remote

I bought a used apple tv... apparently the remote i got isn't the correct one. i mean, it appears it's paired with another, cause all i get is the orange light when i click it.

is there any way to reset it?

Get the manual, find out how to pair a new remote. Done.
