I just got a Sawtooth 450Mhz Powermac and am looking for just a little extra boost of performance. I have heard that the dual 450Mhz and the dual 500Mhz will work on this board without much problem.
I have not had the time to research enough to find out but I've also heard that there are some ways of taking even the 1Ghz or the 867Mhz ones from quicksilvers onto these units. I've seen online the dual 450Mhz and dual 500Mhz for quite cheap so was just wondering if it's worth spending that little money. Mainly going to use this for a file server/light coding until I get my iMac. Right now it is:
450Mhz Powermac G4
1GB RAM(2GB is max right?)
40GB hard drive, wanting to find a semi cheap solution to get SATA on this system
DVD-Rom

Thanks for any input.
