Space Rage 3D

Hi there,

Im developer of Space Rage 3D and Im just wanting some more feedback as to what people think to it.

I first released a version which got bad reviews as I really did release it too early. But it was only live for just over 24 hours and got 3 bad reviews. Anyway, I completly redeveloped it, adding more ships, defined levels, far far better graphics and lots more... and this went live a few days ago. The problem is that I still have the bad reviews from last time and noone has bothered to review it at all now... and im sure its affecting my sales badly.

If there is a chance you've bought it and like it, then please please give it a good review I'm very willing to update it and continue to improve it (as I've already shown) but its much more motivating if I've got some good reviews and constructive feedback. Otherwise, just hearding any comments/feedback would be useful.

Thanks

I would love to review it, but I don't have any money to do so because I have strict parents and no itunes credit right now. I would ask you to send the money to buy it, but I'm not sure if you want to do that for someone who isn't an official reviewer. What you should do, though, is do a beta test so that people can try it free, and then purchase it/review it.

Ditto ... i tend to only buy apps that have received good ratings and usually that i have seen a video running on youtube or something.

If you want beta testers to help get some good reviews then thats something you can do ...

I looked at your iTunes page and thought the app looked stupid
but then I watched the YouTube video, realized that what I was seeing was an enemy ship, and that the game was in first person, and I realized it looks awesome! I will almost certainly be buying this now. At $0.99, its a steal! And if you plan on updating, might I suggest adding some different textures to the ships (they look great, but all 1 solid color could get boring after a while) and also, give some weapon variety and power ups as well. It'd be awesome to fly by and pick up some missiles, or maybe even a bomb to use against the enemies. You could even have levels where you enter the atmosphere of a planet and attack ground targets (although I know that'd take quite a bit of work). All in all though, a great job, and with updates, this game seems to have tons of potential. Of course, this is just from watching the video. I think im gonna go try it out now!

EDIT: I played it, and, although everything I stated above is true, the controls have a VERY steep learning curve. They could also use some work, the HUD could be simplified, and the game needs a calibration option to set your own horizontal, so it can be played in any position. I still believe this game has lots of potential, and if your the least bit intrested, get it know. Because if it's improved enough, the price could easily be raised

Thanks for the feedback!

Ive got an update thats currently waiting to approved by apple to invert the x,y controls and adjust the sensitivity etc, so should help alot. Im thinking alot about future updates and have got a few in the pipeline already. Including: proper textures for the ships and more weapon variations.
