All of a sudden I've got this very weird problem with my mail. The mail app reports that the server won't accept my password, and I can't get to my mail. (POP3 account.) I've tried to use other POP clients, but no go. They all report some error. (Ranging from authentication failure to netork error....)

If I try the normal webmail from my ISP, I'll eventually get a timeout, but if I try an offsite POP3 webmail service, I'm able to download my mail to that. WTF?

Anyone got a clue?

I'm also looking for an application that is able to read my POP account from the server, present me the account without downloading anything, so I can delete mails without downloading them. I've found one called POPmonitor, but it's a bit unstable. Are there others?

Finally found my problem. My DNS cache was screwed, and flushing it helped.

Why is it that I never have problems that people know the solution to? I must be doing something wrong here? 😱
