So I've found a few threads on this topic, but nothing that makes me feel comfortable undertaking the entire process myself. FYI - it's a blackbook running Tiger, so I don't have time-machine.

Essentially, can someone please walk me through:

Format the new external drive (Do I need to partition the drive for use with Windows XP? If so, do I use Extended Journal for Mac, and FAT32 for Windows? What size should I allocate to windows? Or, can I let VMWare do this for me?)

Clone my existing drive (I have Super Duper - will this work? I have read about Carbon Copy Cloner - saw it for $10 - is it worth it?)

Run the boot test (booting from external drive - not sure how to do this)

Swap the drive (I'm confident about this as I have swapped my RAM - but any tips on the physical swap?)

Install Windows XP (Do I need Bootcamp, or can I use VMWare? I don't have bootcamp and read that it costs $29. Primary use would be powerpoint and excel, work related models etc.)

Thanks for your help
