I was wondering how to find the complete specs of a MBP online if I have the serial number? I need it urgently. Also, if thats not possible can someone post the complete specs of MBP with this serial number : W88136BUYJY?

Help is appreciated.

you can go into system profiler and get most of the information that you desire

yeah I remember seeing that site once. but that was quite a long time ago. Thanks for all the quick info. by the way, what do you guys think? Is this a good choice over the new alu MB? (not the MBP, mind u)

Is there a way to find your serial number w/o opening the battery cover?

Don't need to click on 'More Info' just click on the text that says 'Version 10.XX' and you'll get the build number, click again and you guess what comes then :D

It is a good computer, no doubt. The only thing that would make me hesitate even for a second is the prospect of the GPU going bunk.

Thats odd, under About this Mac my machine is 2.53 which is what I ordered but when I enter my serial number it comes up as 2.8

I did get a BTO but it was for the HDD bump to 320/7200. Anyone know why there would be discrepancy?

possible stolen macbook pro?

Someone is offering me a macbook pro serial W88136BUYJY for $500
I found on google this forum refering to this unit in 2008.
I could not find any mention of this serial at the 911 stolen gear site.Maybe it's legit.
I do not want a stolen macbook. Can anyone help?
