I just purchased applecare for my new macbook for a total of $91.

That's right--msrp $249, edu $183...

First of all, the live.com ebay discount of 25% worked for me again today (hasn't been for the past 2 days:confused:), so I jumped on it.

The original ebay list price was $140, and I used the 10% off ebay coupon to pay up front a price of $126--but the beautiful thing is that the cashback is on the original 140, so I'm getting $35 back from microsoft!

In case you're looking to do the same thing, this is th cheapest I've seen an original listing:

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this deal, too (and using the 25% cash back for a wii fit too). I just wonder how these vendors get it so much cheaper than Apple...I know the itunes gift cards and stuff on ebay are suspect and often purchased with stolen credit cards, do you think this is a similar situation?

I just learned about this live.com cashback thing from your post. But, how do you get a live.com discount for eBay? I searched and found some coupon codes for 10% off, but I didn't find anything like you are talking here...

Any help would be appreciated. I want this deal too, as I have the new MB.

Just go to live.com, search for Macbook Applecare (or any other popular item for that matter) and the first link that comes up should be for ebay and offer 25% cash back.

Looks like the price has gone up in the link the OP posted, guess the free advertising has done the seller well lol

wow, good call! if you do a little searching, i did see a couple at 139.99, etc. the sellers are always looking to out-do each other to bring in the most business.

for those wondering if these are legit, i got my applecare serial # last night (a couple hours after buying), registered it, and everything went perfectly.

i'd say jump on it--the ~$90 price tag is DEEEFINITELY worth the "trouble."

It's almost like the seller I bought that applecare from KNOWS I spread the word.

They sent me an email saying that any ebayer that purchases an applecare and mentions my ebay username (melissuhh) will receive 10% cashback, and I will receive 10% cashback too!

Of course these codes only work if your account was chosen to be sent a code - I think you're usually sent an email or message about it in Ebay - Neither one worked for me :(

The seller reported that as soon as positive feedback is left by Melissaur they'll apply the extra 10% rebate for me. I'll try and remember to post back here when I get confirmation on it.
