CastCatcher 1.3 Approved!

Apple kindly approved CastCatcher 1.3. We're pretty happy about it. Thanks for all of your support! Grab your updates, if you have it. Link in my sig.

Never thought they were. I wonder if it was just some sort of mistake, honestly. Regardless, we're happy and appreciate what they've done as well as the support from all the great folks here at macrumors.

Adding your own stations is the point of this app. I don't believe AOL does that. This app streams shoutcast/nicecast/icecast/mp3 and hopefully AAC+ soon (waiting on assistance from Apple on that as it seems to be broken in 2.1 but I'm not positive of that).

Why do I get the feeling that this "rejection" was fabricated by the author to gain exposure?

I'm not too familiar with this app but I use Pandora and don't know why anyone would use anything else.

Yea, I'm sure they did that.

Right, you have no idea what this application does. So you have a great reason to determine why people would use anything other than pandora.

That's not the case. Believe what you want.

Based on what?? Do you know something or are you just stirring ^&%$ up? I have no reason to believe they are not being completely honest with us.

This is great! Anyone know the difference between CastCatcher and the application called "Tuner Internet Radio" that has been out since the end of June? http://www.nullriver.com/products/tuner Sounds like they are very similar.

Yes. Tuner has obviously been around longer and has a nifty station browser. CastCatcher doesn't have this feature (the point is a "favorites" list for particular stations), but costs a couple of bucks less (33% if you prefer, or 50% more for tuner if you're looking at it from that perspective haha) less. Both skip with AAC+ at the moment. We've been very responsive to our customer's feature requests so far -- not sure about Nullriver although their products are great. So basically, if you want a huge list of stations to pick from, get Tuner. If you prefer to manually find just the stations you want and load them up (say from shoutcast.com) and want to save a couple bucks then get CastCatcher.
