I recently acquired a non-functional iMac G5.
Its RAM and hard disk have been removed, but everything else is still there.
I've taken a picture of the iMac with the back off and the power removed. It is attached to this post as Photo 558.
I believe (although its previous owner did not know) that either its power supply unit failed, or its motherboard/logicboard failed because I have read online that these are the most common errors to befall this particular computer.
I think that the power supply unit is damaged rather than the logic board.
Is there any way for me to either of these components without computer tools (Dremel, soldering iron, voltage testers, etc.)?
