My experience, as a mid-level ASP.net/C# programmer, is that I was disappointed in myself in trying to pick up the framework. It is really nicely set up and some things are easy---but the combo of Objective-C and Cocoa was, for me, more than I could just pick up. Everything from the syntax to the wiring-up of objects was "new" (I hesitate to say strange) to me. I was pretty naive to think I could just run with it, I wonder if this is happening to a lot of other people, but programmers, being kind of a proud bunch, don't want to admit it.
