iTunes 8.0.2 OK for JB and unlocked 2G phone?

Will updating to iTunes 8.0.2 have any undesirable effects on my unlocked on T-Mobile and Jailbroken 2.2 iPhone 2G? Or is it safe to let software update install iTunes 8.0.2?
 
Anyone? I have held off on upgrading to 8.0.2 but would really like to. Will this affect my jailbroken and unlocked 2G at all?
