How do I screen shot in OS X? Sorta new to Mac, and thats a thing I have never asked...

SHIFT + COMMAND + 3

shift + command + 3 = Whole screen shot
shift + command + 4 = selection screen shot
shift + command + spacebar + 4 = window screen shot


Or if you need timed screenshots then you can use Grab.app in your utilities folder.

Command+Shift+4 allows you to click and drag a section of screen to capture, and Command+Shift+4+Spacebar allows to you select a specific window to capture.

Edit: SORRY! COMMAND, Shift, 4, and the rest.

ctrl+cmd+shift+3 copies full screen, and you can paste it in as an image in photoshop, keynote, powerpoint etc.

ctrl+cmd+shift+4 copies selection
