Why do I have >4GB of "Other" on my iPhone?

Just recently, my sync took extra long, and I noticed that now my iPhone has about 4GB of "other" data on it.

(Never been jailbroken)... here's a pic:



does anyone know what happened? This wasn't there last week and I didn't change any settings recently either... thanks
