Hi,

while trying to upgrade my ipod touch 2G to 2,2 I got an error 13. I have tried restarting the computer, switching usbs and a different computer. I have the latest version of itunes. The ipod will not turn on atm but it is recognized by my computer but when i try to restore it says the software upgrade could not be found and I should upgrade itunes (which it is).

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks

Do both.
Reinstall iTunes.
Then try redownloading the firmware, if that's possible.
Hopefully a problem didn't occur while installing 2.2 otherwise your iPod might not have an OS on it right now and you could be screwed.
If nothing works take it into the Apple Store.

Well good news, I left it on my computer overnight it is not showing that message anymore.

I am going to try to restore on my dad's computer because that has always got me out of jams with my old ipod touch :p.

If that doesn't work ill try what you said iParis, Thanks.

Got it fixed by updating on my dads computer!

Now hopefully I can restore to back up...
