Hey guys
I'm a new user here. I was wondering if there was a way to enable using the enter/return key to acknowledge alerts by the OS, such as when you rename an extention etc..
it works for some cases, such as when you try to check for a software update and there is an alert saying there isnt any.. but doesnt work for most cases...

why? and how do we fix it?

For those popups with buttons, if the button is outlined in blue, space will select it. If the button is all blue, enter/return will select it. If you find that you can't use the tab key to shift the focus (blue outline) between buttons, or even between things like check boxes on web pages, go to the System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse->Keyboard Shortcuts. At the very bottom, change Full keyboard access from "Text boxes and lists only" to "All controls."
