Connect to iTunes after succesfull unlock?

After numerous tries, I finally was able to unlock my 2g iPhone and used it with TMO.
Can I now safely, plug-in to laptop and have iTunes recognize it, download photos, etc....?

Yes you can, iTunes won't know the better.
