iOS Java questions

I am working with dashcode. And I'm trying to figure out how to do a few things. I want to code a refresh button, a buttonthat goes to another page and a button that goes to another view within the web app. Also a search bar. I have played with it for days and can't figure it out at all. I put a search(event) and it does nothing. When I test it on my iPhone the bar doesn't even select when I touch/click it. Any help with anything would be appreciated! Thank you.
