I have a 1st gen iPhone that is jailbroken and unlocked. It is currently running version 2.0. I have the app store notification stating that an app (Shazam) has an update available. The update of Shazam requires version 2.1 but I don't want to go to version 2.1. Is there a way for me to remove the notification on my iPhone?

the other issue is I've tried to remove the app from my iPhone by using itunes and de-selecting Shazam so it would be removed when I sync. The problem is that iTunes does not remove it. I can not delete in from my phone and then reinstall it.

I have thought about going to version 2.1 but I purchased my phone jailbroken and unlocked. It was unlocked/jailbroken with Pwnage on a Mac and unfortunately I'm running a windows machine due to work requriements. I have Winpwn downloaded on my laptop but I'm unsure if i update to 2.1 and then try to re-jailbreak that I may run into issues.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Uncheck it from your iTunes so that is won't resync it, and then delete it from the phone. Then it won't be on the phone anymore but will still be in your iTunes for later use if you want it back.
