The 3G software unlock question

With the software unlock coming new years does this mean I would no longer need to use my 2.1 sim unlock on my 3G iPhone?

Yes the modem firmware is 2.11.07 and its jailbroken.

Yes, that mean you no longer need that xSIM. Also, you can free yourself from guilt
