Gift Cards!

Hello,

1) Where I can buy iTunes Gift Card (US store) online? Anyone know www.justitunes.com?

2) Why people sell Gift Card for a price less than your value ($45 for a $50 gift card)? How can they do it?

Thank you.

It is very sad that you have to pretend to be in the USA to have full access to everything and to spend your money. My account is Canada Based so it is not so bad, but I am even thinking about creating an USA account. The Only plus side of Canada is it is creaper with Exchange now that we are lower than the USA again.

I'm against ever purchasing an iTunes Gift Card.

Reason: When you buy a Gift Card in the store, they charge you tax on top of the Gift Card price. When you purchase something from the iTunes store, you are charged tax. By using a gift card, you are being charged tax two times. In my opinion, what a rip off.

You sure about that? I haven't bought iTunes gift cards before, but when I have bought them for Target and whatnot, I get $10 worth of card for $10. Also, I don't think iTunes charges tax because it's an online entity (Amazon is the same way).

Therefore, I don't think you're charged a cent of sales tax. I can't verify this, but I'm pretty sure about it.

This could be different since you're in Brazil, but you can do it via iTunes on my computer. There's a link at the top right where "Support" and "Redeem" are (along with other stuff). I get choices including e-mail gift certificates, printable gift certificates, gift cards, allowances, and specific stuff (TV shows, movies, music). You just need a code to give an iTunes gift, so you can probably just do the e-mail or print thing.

Someone trying to sell under face value probably got it as a gift and doesn't use iTunes. Therefore, the $45 is worth more to them than $50 at iTunes.

I just purchased a couple of iTunes Gift Certificates from the Apple Store and was not charged sales tax - although I am charged sales tax on other purchases from the Apple Store. Most states exempt gift cards (and certificates) from sales tax. It may depend on your state though. (I did Certificates vice Cards so I can email them myself Christmas Eve).
