I notice there is no backspace key, and the delete key does the job of the backspace, so is there a way to delete the letter in front of the curson like on a pc? thanks
one more thing, i am using microsoft office, and it says that in order to do grammar check, on say one word, i need to press 3 different keys, the apple key, the L key, and one more key, but i cant figure out what or where that key is, thanks for helping out a noobie

Hi:
I've always just gone in front of it and deleted the letter that way.
If I want to delete any more than one letter, I might even just highlight what I want deleted and hit "delete".

Print a list of shortcut keys
1. On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Macros.
2. On the Macros in pop-up menu, click Word commands.
3. In the Macro name box, click ListCommands.
4. Click Run.
5. In the List Commands dialog box, click Current menu and keyboard settings, and then click OK.
6. On the File menu, click Print.
Note If you made changes to shortcut key assignments, the changes are included in the printed list of shortcut keys. Shortcut keys you assigned to macros are not included.

Hmmm, I didn't know fn+delete did that, but thanks.
If you are using an Apple Pro Keyboard it should be called the "Del" key with an arrow pointing right with an "x" in it.
As for keyboard shortcuts the "up arrow" is "Shift"
And the ">" (but pointing up) is "Ctrl" or "Control"
If you need some special charecters, try using the option key while pressing a button. For instance pressing Option+2 yields . Go nuts.
