Last week, Ambrosia announced that they were holding a holiday bundle sale for six of their Mac games for only $19.

Apeiron X - Arcade-style, fast-paced, frantic gameplay. You versus the nefarious Pentipede and other mushroom patch baddies.
Redline - Put the pedal to the metal in this intense 3D racing game. Hop in and burn rubber through myriad race tracks across the Web.
Bubble Trouble X - Arcade-style family fun, filled with frolic, fins, and fishy foes. Use the maze itself to pop the cutthroat competition.
Darwinia - Save a virtual world from a deadly computer virus. Real-time strategy and lush3D landscapes remind you remember why gaming is fun.
SketchFighter - Pilot your sketched ship through hand-drawn graph paper mazes, battle bugs and bosses, solo or with a friend.
Aki Mahjong - Solitaire is an elegant blend of the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong with an enchanting journey across Japan.

All together, the games are worth $123 separately. Offer ends midnight on December 24th.

Is this for real? That's a great deal.

The only one of these I've played is SketchFighter. I really enjoyed it. IMHO, it's well worth $19 on its own. The art is fantastic and it's a very good example of a game of its type (2-D, 360 degree, space-shooter).

Hm. The links are all broken right now. Edit: the link problem seems to be something specific to my environment -- my phone can resolve the links just fine.

Looks a really good deal considering it's less than what I paid for Redline alone (which incidentally is a great game, if nothing else for the online multiplayer and the huge number of plugins that have been written for it).

I am Jack's holiday bundle.

But seriously, Merry Christmas, everyone! :D

I have Darwinia myself on Windows, that game is absolutely amazing and, although it costs $10, is easily worth the $20 that the entire package costs. This is a seriously great deal for anyone - I'd pick this one up in an instant if my primary computer ran OS X :)

The only one of these games that I have ever played is Redline (the demo) and I love it. This package looks like a great deal. I would pay $25 just for Redline just like what the price used to be. But, all of these games! This package looks like it is for me. I would love to try them all out.

Has anyone played Darwinia? I am a big RTS fan and would love to know how it compares to both the Red Alert and Warfare.

I just bought it. It sounds like there are at least 2-3 great games in this package besides SketchFighter (which I already played a few time).

Great deal! Just got to convince my dad, between now and tomorrow, to allow me to buy a couple copies for LAN play, including one on the family computer, which may be quite hard to convince him.

And hi Andrew! ;)

moki, you're really the president of Ambrosia Software? Cool.

Mind getting your guys to bring back Barrack, Swoop, Slithereens, and some of the other great games that are still OS 9 only? I would pay a decent sum just to get back some of those games.

That's really andrew, our favorite el Presidente.

I already own most of those games, but it's a great deal for those who don't. Though the other poster mentioning buying a license for LAN games is a pretty good idea...

As for Barrack, do you see the obvious joke therein? ;)

It's in the name, y'all

Ambrosia really need to check out their website in Firefox 3... Not a pretty sight.

Darwinia is a great game indeed. The rest of the bundle is just a collection of bad rip-offs of old classic arcade games and a below standard PlayStation2 (and PS1) racer. $19 for that? I don't think so.

Have you actually tried Redline in simulation mode? It's quite realistic. Your average PS2 racing game isn't. Redline alone made my purchase worth it. Haven't tried Darwinia yet, but I hear it's pretty good.

Nope, but I've looked at several in-game videos - they've given me enough to judge from. Have you actually tried Gran Turismo 1 or 2 (PS1), Colin McRae (PS1), Gran Turismo 3 or 4 (PS2), Colin McRae 04 or 2005 (PS2), Ferrari F355 Challenge (Dreamcast or PS2), NASCAR 2005 etc. I've played 'em all and Redline doesn't compare well to any of those as far as I can tell - and they're all available for less than $19.
...And when compared to current gen racers on PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 it's Ridiculous.
