That sucks. Who cares?
The most you can do is email Apple, file a complaint. That's it. No one here can help you.

well i was wondering if there was any other way to solve this problem besides emailling apple because its been over 2 days since i emailed them and no respones. which they said it would take 2 days till i get an email

Go to their headquarters and rob them of the cost of your album?:confused:

Did you actually get it twice? So you have every file two times? I was just wondering if this works with Apple's DRM system.

If Apple doesn't respond to your inquires, file a dispute with your credit card company. That will get their attention, even though its only $10. It costs you nothing and you'll get your money back. Make sure to tell your bank itw as because of a glitch and not intentional.

yea i have 2 copies of the same album...
and i didnt use a credit card company it was billed to my account money that i got though itunes gift cards

THAT'S why I keep the confirmation dialog enabled so you always get a message pop up asking if you are sure.

Also, i get a "you have already purchased this, would you like to repurchase" kinda warning any time I try to redownload something, did you disable or just skip it?

get my music back

how would people go on getting there music that they lost because of a hdd failure?

can they just onto itunes on the new computer and just re-download it?

I beleive so, youll get a warning saying youve purchased before, would you like to download.

Clicking this link will launch iTunes, prompt for your account password, and direct you to your purchase history: itms://phobos.apple.com/purchaseHistory

From there you can click "Report Problem" (near the bottom of the screen). After this, select the album you inadvertently purchased and select the most appropriate problem explanation, and provide a description of your issue in the comments section. As the site suggests, you should receive a response from Apple within 24 hours (however, given it's the Holidays, you might expect a delay).

No, you cannot without pre-approval from Apple.

To make such a request, Contact Apple using this form: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/

You'll want to select:
"Purchase(s) - missing" -> "My Hard Drive Crashed," and then provide an explanation in the provided text field. Remember to be as detailed as possible and supply all of the information requested by Apple.

Good luck. :)

I'd just copy my entire iTunes folder to an external. Easier than burning discs. But honestly, did you wait like a minute or seconds between the "buy now" button clicks?
