Assuming that you have a movie that is playable by iTunes, you can add the movie as follows:
First, make sure that under preferences and the Advance tab, you have checked the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" checked.
Second, under the "File" menu, select the "Add to Library..." submenu. Navigate to your movie and select it. At this point, iTunes should import the movie into your library.
