It looks really close, but according to the reviews on the sales website, it's not very good at all. The screenshots on the linked page are gone, though. It would seem that someone has been contacted.

It's real, but the problem is that you can't hold many songs on those little flash cards my friend, so 1,000 songs is out of the question. I think it's just a quick way to cash in on the iPod. I'm gussing we'll see some legal action, since Apple has a patent, or patent pending, on the scroll wheel design.

Has anyone considered how impossible it must be to use that thing? Either the "scroll wheel" is just for decoration (and therefore, a complete waste of space), or it's just a total pain to use (can you imagine using a stylus to spin the wheel?).

Then again, it's good for a laugh.

This has GOT to be a fake. The image animates a little, doing a few frames that do look EXACTLY like the iPod. Then it flashes up an all black look, with red buttons. This part of the animation is an actual iPod photo, the promo picture Apple uses to show the lights on the iPod. WHat is this? A different skin for this software? There is no mention of it.

Fake Fake FAKE!!!!

Actually, it does mention something about "shells" that let you change the player's appearance. Although I agree that the black look is a blatant rip-off of an Apple photo (hell, it's on the poster hanging on my wall).

The site says you can use your thumbs instead of a stylus, but wouldn't that be bad for your PDA's screen? At the very least, it would get dirty from your hands.

Well I hate to say it, but I have the software and it works a treat.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it isn't a hoax. It operates just like the demo picture, and the scroll wheel works very well (and you dont need to use a stylus). Infact the software worked so well that Apple is now taking action against the software creaters (www.starbriteltd.com).

I have a 1Gb CF Card and that is enough songs to last me a couple of days.
The black screen shot of pPod is a 'Shell' so you can customise your pPod. It looks like a photo of the iPod at night.

Most copies of the software have disapeared but I did find it on a european site. If you can get hold of the software, hang on to it.
