Slip up shows iWork 09 being released today?
A slip up on Apples 'downloads' page shows iWork 09 in the top downloads list. However clicking on the link takes you to iWork 08. I'm guessing Apple are 'preparing' the site for the updates that are possibly coming today.

Not a big rumor but a rumor that is 100% possible given the release schedule of iWork.

Well done, but not surprised.
I think most are expecting iLife/iWork 09 to be released.

Can we presume that iLife '09 will be added too? Seems strange not to update both so that their names are consistent...
Come on iMacs and Mac minis! Enjoy it Arn! |

Please be iWork '08 plus a new app, and not all this web based stuff we've been hearing about.

I hate iLife updates because they become a necessity for miniscule things like when I need 08 to make ringtones in garageband.

Apple always seem to have SOME slip up on their page. There was also, as someone noticed, a picture of the Pros that used to be side-by-side late08/early08 and now it's only late08 :P

The excitements building. I just looked at downloads on the UK downloads page and it still says iWork '08. They must have better disciplined staff at Apple UK

iLife '09 hasn't been released and it's already the #5 top download? I didn't think you could download iLife in the first place.

So if you can download iWork 09, wouldn't you think that it will at least have a stand-alone desktop component?

IWork '09 is most likely IWork '08 with minor tweaks + web interface much like google docs but within the "me" environment. What I am saying is that we are looking at multiple account types for "me.com".
That's my guess.

Damn it. I just bought iWork only recently. Too bad Apple does not offer any upgrade versions. But who knows, perhaps iWork 09 isn't even worth it.

so with previous releases iwork/life they have let customers who bought within the previous 30/60 days pick up the new copy for free or reduced price. will this count this time around as well? i bought a macbook on cyber monday, will i get a free upgrade?!

Keynote is the one app that makes my Mac irreplaceable with a PC. Everything else I'd be happy doing on a PC. Keynote is the one thing that ties me to OSX.
PLEASE DON'T RUIN IT. |

iWork not iLife. And it has not been released yet, just a link on the summary webpage has been renamed. And yes, you could and can download iWork, actually a 30-day free trial (for which you then can buy a serial number).
