I was sent some images via email that I downloaded while viewing the email. I just discovered when I click on the Mac HD those images are under the "Search For All Images" category.

Is it possible to delete these jpg's without deleting the images in email?

Apparently you cannot remove an uploaded image from the search history?

Check in ~/Library/Mail Downloads. You can safely delete any files you find there.

(~ is shorthand for your user home folder. I think the directory is called Mail Downloads, but it's not appearing on this computer because I don't have Mail configured on here. It's something like that, anyhow. It's not the Mail directory; that's different and shouldn't be deleted.)

...

yes, if you downloaded them to your HD, then you've created a different file than the email file so you can trash the downloaded file without effecting the email file
