Is AppleCare worth it for a White Macbook?

I've recently bought a white 2.16GHz Macbook off my brother for £400 and the 1yr warranty expires on Friday. I have bought AppleCare but before I register it, I just want to hear peoples thoughts on whether or not it's actually worth it.

I'm not likely to keep the laptop for very long (maybe 6 months max), so how much would the resale value increase by if it has AppleCare with it?

It will increase the resale value when you sell quite nicely. I had this problem when i sold my white macbook. It was about a year old. Could have sold for about 850-900, when asked if it had applecare they immediately asked for $700.
