My 8GB iPod nano 4G is also a large flash drive, as was the 30GB 5G iPod before it.
I got it for christmas.
Currently, it shows 8.8MB free, with 1.12GB in 'Other' data.
This was some music that I was giving to a friend of mine.
I transfered it to her computer, ejected my iPod, left.
Upon opening iTunes on my neighbors iMac (I have an ancient 400Mhz iMac at home, hers is new), it said that the 1GB and change stuff is still there.
When I open my iPod, it shows the usual Contact, Notes, Photos, Recordings, and a folder I made called Utilities.
The last is frequently used, and currently has Grandperspective and Xslimmer on it, which together amount to 6.9MB.

I should have about 1.2 GB free on my iPod, bu it still thinks there's stuff on it.
Help!
Thank you in advance.

P.S. I'd rather not restore it, I just got a crap load of songs on it, but if that's what it takes, so be it.

Download a program called "iDump", get all your songs off your ipod then restore, easiest way
