Making Podcasts

I have downloaded some podcasts on iTunes that are in .mov format, and consequently not suitable for iPod Classic. I thought about changing the formats, but then they stop being considered podcasts and become videos.

Does anyone know if there is a way to transform videos into podcasts, or any other way for me to solve this?

Thanks!
