OS X won't let me partition my Mac Hard drive

I am trying to create a partition to install Vista on, and whenever trying to create a new partition in Disk Utility, I get an error message telling me that there is not enough free space on the disk, when there is over 45GB free, and Vista, I believe, is only 8GB.

use bootcamp.
