can you get five dock icons on official 2.2?

i was wondering if there was a way to get five dock icons without being on a jailbroken device like the method to get emoji on a non-jailbroken device. the emoji method is you start out jailbroken, install emoji through cydia, create an iPod backup in itunes, restore the iPod, restore the backup you made right before the restore, and then you have emoji with out being jailbroken. i know this same exact method won't work for five dock icons cause i've tried but i was wondering if there was a different method to do it?
